Professional Profile
Dr. Mayeda was one of the first dentists to be personally trained by the legendary Dr. Carl Misch at the Misch International Implant Institute. Since 1988, Dr. Mayeda has placed and restored thousands of implants. He has successfully integrated CAD/CAM and cone bean (CBCT) technology into treatment planning, surgical placement and implant restorations. After 45 years in practice, national dental consultants considered Dr. Mayeda’s practice in the top two percent of the most successful practices in the nation.
Dr. Mayeda graduated as the top clinical operator of his UMKC Dental Class. He holds Fellowships in the ICD, ACD and the AACD.
Leadership and Credentials
Dr. Mayeda was one of the early dentists to join the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD), where he served as Accreditation and Fellowship Chairs reviewing applicants for the AACD’s highest honors. Recognizing his leadership skills, the AACD elected him as the Academy’s ninth national president and the first person of color elected to this position. Today, the AACD has 7,000 members in 70 countries.
Pacific Based Global Educator
Dr. Mayeda has been a featured conference speaker in implant and cosmetic dentistry throughout the world - Japan, China, Korea, Singapore, Hong Kong, Philippines, Monaco, Turkey, Mexico, Canada and the United States. He served as a lecturer for the UCLA School of Dentistry-Hawaii Symposium for four years. He also served as director for the Lutheran Medical Center’s Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) residency program, teaching clinical and practice management procedures to residents launching their own careers.
